Content is Still SEO King

When looking to build organic traffic, you need to have effective SEO so you rank well on the search engines and other traffic sources. This isn’t just the Google search engine either. Most traffic sources will use some type of “SEO” or related effort to determine what is shown to consumers looking to find information.

Of course, for traditional SEO, you are going to be targeting Google, Bing and other search engines. There is also optimization that needs to be done to get your YouTube videos to rank high. And to get your Facebook posts to be seen. No matter what you call it, or where you are attempting to draw traffic from, content is going to be king.

To put it simply, if your site or page doesn’t have content your visitors are interested in, and it isn’t updated regularly, the amount of traffic you receive is going to be lower than it could be.

In fact, 57% of SEO experts who were surveyed said that relevant content creation is the most important SEO tactic. This is the number one ranking response. The article also talks about the fact that while SEO has been a well-known strategy for a very long time now, it is still very underutilized by most businesses.
