Rakuten Marketing has recently launched a new ‘consent management platform’ or CMP that will allow brands, advertisers, and publishers to more easily remain compliant with various laws and regulations that are in place. Specifically, this will help make it easier for brands and marketers to gain consent under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that has recently gone into effect in Europe.
The CTO at Rakuten, Neal Richter, said, “We’re excited to bring this new CMP to the market, which directly supports the consent model within GDPR. We firmly believe the consent legal basis gives consumers the greatest control over their personal marketing experiences and will help brands build and grow truly positive and trusted consumer relationships that support bottom-line growth.”
Remaining compliant with all the different rules and regulations that are in place can be very difficult for many people. The time and effort required to familiarize themselves with all the different regulations can be quite daunting. Working with the experts at Rakuten will allow people to focus on their main business rather than worry so much about the legal compliance.
