Nearly 80% of China’s Programmatic Ad Spend is on Mobile

Mobile advertising has been growing by leaps and bounds around the world, but it seems like China is surging ahead in this market (at the cost of desktop and other ads). According to recent figures that were released from eMarketer, 80% of their programmatic ad spend comes from mobile.

Their overall budget is $16.7 Billion for programmatic, which is up by 48.6% over the last year. 79.9% of that budget is being directed specifically toward mobile advertising, and that number is only expected to grow in the coming years.

Most of the ad spend is from huge companies like Alibaba, Tencent, and Baidu, but there are a variety of others as well.

Just about all experts agree that mobile advertising is going to continue to dominate the industry. It provides brands unsurpassed options when it comes to targeting customers. It is also great for both online and offline businesses, which gives it a huge audience.

Anyone who is in advertising needs to make sure they are keeping up with the latest mobile ad techniques in order to get the most out of their advertising dollars.
