Merkle is a US based performance marketing agency that has seen a lot of growth and success in recent years. While they have up to this point been operating primarily in the US, they are looking to grow into a more global company. They have recently announced the first move to accomplish that goal, and that move was to purchase Periscopix. Periscopix is a London based digital conversion specialist company.
The company was founded in 2004 and has seen a lot of successes over the years. They grew the number of employees they have from just 11 all the way to 117 in recent years and have many major clients to their name.
Merkle’s Executive Vice President, Craig Dempster said of the deal, “Periscopix is Merkle’s first in a series of planned international acquisitions designed to better serve the expanding needs of our clients who are becoming increasingly global. Periscopix stood out for us in its similarities to Merkle, as well as its deep knowledge of the nuances of people-based marketing across European markets. We are delighted to welcome the entire Periscopix team into the Merkle fold and look forward to sharing our collective capabilities with clients that cross industrial and national boundaries.”
The Periscopix brand will be phased out over time, having them move entirely to the Merkle brand. There was no set timeline for this to occur, though it seems like it will take a period of months or even years to complete. The official terms of the deal have not yet been announced.
