MXM Being Acquired by Accenture

Meredith Xcelerated Marketing is an integrated marketing leader with a focus on content marketing, cross-channel strategy development, and creative execution. They are based in New York, and have been quite successful at offering their services to a wide range of clients. The company has now entered into an agreement that will have them acquired by Accenture. Accenture is a larger data-first marketing agency, which prioritizes quality content and overall digital marketing.

The terms of the acquisition haven’t been disclosed, but everything is supposed to be completed within 60 days, assuming there are no issues with approvals, financials, or other details.

Jeannine Falcone is a marketing offering lead at Accenture Interactive, and commented on the acquisition, “This is an exceptional opportunity for Accenture Interactive to add market-leading talent and capabilities. Combined with other acquisitions, MXM adds creative, digital marketing, content strategy and marketing execution heft to our North America business. There is a clear strategic alignment around insight-led digital marketing and content strategy, where we have each had proven success in executing integrated programs for our clients.”

The president of MXM, Georgine Anton, said, “We are thrilled to be joining the Accenture Interactive family. The combination of Accenture Interactive and MXM will be powerful in the market, plus the depth of their offerings will deepen our capabilities, enabling us to better serve both existing and new clients. Accenture Interactive will provide MXM with a home where it can offer clients best-in-class, single sourced, integrated solutions – this is a clear competitive advantage for Accenture Interactive and, now, MXM.”

This is a large scale deal in the marketing industry as both of these companies have seen a lot of success. MXM has marketing relationships with big companies like Barilla, Bob Evans Restaurants, Kraft Heinz, Lowe’s, Volkswagen, and WebMD. They have also won more than 27 Content Council Awards, among other prestigious recognitions over the years.
