Google AdSense Introducing New Format for Mobile Native Advertising

Native ads have long been a big hole in the lineup of Google’s AdSense platform. These types of ads have been shown to be extremely effective, and very popular on many publisher’s websites. To fill this gap, Google is now releasing a new option for all their publishers.

This new format will allow in-feed ads, in-article ads, and a matched content feature that will make it easy for users to integrate the ads into their existing or new content. The matched content feature has been available for other ads since 2015. It offers content recommendation for AdSense users to help promote their content. It can now be used to show relevant ads at the bottom of their articles.

When publishers use native ads, they will be able to use a variety of configuration options to help them to better blend in with their site. Google will use the responsive ads to display information that is related to the content on the site to help improve click through rates.

Anyone with a site that relies heavily on content will want to look into this option as it can help to improve the number of people clicking on links, and improve the overall revenue generated by the site.
