Daily Motion, the popular video website that allows users to upload videos to its website to be viewed and shared by others, is expanding its advertising offerings. Starting in early 2017, advertisers will have an added option for mobile advertising, vertical pre-roll ads.
The aim of the new format of video advertising is to maximize mobile completion rates by creating a more immersive experience by displaying the video ad in full screen, while at the same time taking the user experience into consideration.
For advertisers that do not have their video formatted for full screen, Dailymotion’s integrated creative studio will be available to convert landscape formatted video ads to the required vertical format that will ensure full screen display.
Daily Motion is not nearly as big as YouTube and some other video sites, but it certainly has a large audience, and it seems to be growing quite a bit. Marketers looking for additional places to run their ads may want to consider this innovative platform.
