Abestweb.com, once what was the top affiliate marketing forum on the internet, has finally closed. The owners Penton, which bought the site a few years ago from its owner, claims they were shutting down because of a supposed downturn in the affiliate marketing world. However, it’s more likely they shut down because the new owners weren’t familiar with the affiliate marketing world, and didn’t monitor or keep the forums up to date — and they slowly died because of that.
We appreciate the enormous support that our ABestWeb community has experienced over the many years it has served its members and sponsors. Unfortunately, the affiliate marketplace has been steadily declining for a while now. As a result, we have decided to exit this business.
We have placed the property up for sale and we are actively entertaining interest. If you have any interest please contact Anupam Palit at Anupam.Palit@penton.com.In the meantime, community members will be able to read but not post to ABestWeb beginning on Jan. 18.
