AtCostFulfillment.com Buys Fulfillment.com Domain from eBay Enterprises

AtCostFulfillment.com, the leader in worldwide fulfillment and logistics management, has acquired the domain Fulfillment.com from eBay Enterprises. This domain was held by eBay since 2011 when it bought GSI Commerce for $2.4 Billion. While there were rumored plans for eBay Enterprises to use the domain, in the end they decided that it would be better to sell it. AtCostFulfillment.com was the perfect match for the domain, and they grabbed it up earlier this year.

Turns out that the name change has really helped them with visibility in the space. Their dominance in the space has obviously raised eyebrows from leaders in the manufacturing and drop shipping industry, partially because of their turnkey platform that allows almost anyone to create an overnight store that ships almost anything at a level that rivals any major online retailer.

Interestingly enough, when they purchased the domain from eBay Enterprises, there was a stipulation that they couldn’t turn around and sell it for a period of 2 years. Since their company has allowed many of their clients increase revenues substantially when switching over, it seems plausible that someday Amazon.com might want to get in the game of this type of fulfillment methods. I’m sure by now someone at Amazon.com has been putting feelers out wondering how they grew so fast.

Fulfillment.com enables merchants to easily ship products worldwide. Currently the company ships to North America, Europe, Oceania, and select regions of South America, Asia, and Africa. Over the next few years we’re going to keep an eye on this company as they have set out to achieve true worldwide fulfillment, shipping to every country on the planet that has consumers actively buying products off the internet. There’s a real need for solutions like this, and it should be interesting to see if the company achieves its herculean goal of true worldwide fulfillment.
