Clickbooth Thinking too small for ASE NY?

I have to say I was pretty shocked when I heard of Clickbooth’s plan to start Thinking Smaller for their Affiliate Summit East events. I mean this is a company that prides itself in a good party – Open bar, 3,000+ people, line around the block types of parties.

Pretty sure they have caused more hangovers than any other company in the history of Affiliate Marketing – so I had to ask “Why?”, “Why change up the game again by throwing 2 smaller and more specialized events?”

Erin Cigich’s response:
“Our partners, we started getting a lot of feedback from our biggest partners that we needed something targeted to just the largest power players in the industry, the $1 million dollar + a month affiliates and $5 million dollar + a month advertisers. These guys were tired of the big, loud parties and just wanted to network with the best and share insights only the best industry players would know.”

Interesting, tell me more about why smaller is better?

Erin Cigich’s response:
“Our smallest and most buzzed event is the cb:Black Event – literally the most exclusive Affiliates Only event in Affiliate Summit history. Top tracking platform Voluum and premium content marketplace RevContent will add additional value for those who make the cut. We typically get over 5,000 RSVP requests for a party; so by keeping this event to only the Biggest 100 Affiliates in the industry we are forced to be extremely selective in who we allow into this event. Basically don’t waste your time even applying if you aren’t one of the largest affiliates in the space, and definitely don’t apply if you are a Network or an Advertiser – Sorry this is Affiliates Only.”

Woah, what about Advertisers?

Erin Cigich’s response:
Glad you asked Pace, we have decided to partner with Limelight to create an event where two of the largest powerhouses in the advertising world could come together to create a small yet powerful event. This will be a rare opportunity for both Clickbooth and Limelight’s biggest advertisers to all be in one place. Problem is the capacity for the event is going to be extremely limited and very few partners will actually make the list.

What about your guys responsibility as the BIGGEST Network throwing the BIGGEST parties and for the love of God will we be able to have an industry-wide Open Bar party?

Erin Cigich’s response:
“We have you covered on that as well Pace 🙂 – We are still sponsoring and working with CPAWay, Peerfly, and ExclusiveCPA to throw the biggest and the baddest Affiliate Nation party of the Summit.” We also conveniently made all of our events Monday night (August 11th), so if you qualify for the smaller, exclusive events you can hit those from 6pm-9pm and then head over to Affiliate Nation for THE after party from 10pm-2am.
