Crowd Funding with Affiliate Marketing

Crowd funding sites like Kickstarter and others have helped thousands of people raise the capital they need to get their ideas to the next level.  These types of sites make it possible for many people to raise money from other individuals, rather than turning to the bank for cash.  This is a win-win situation for everyone involved, and overall the platform has worked very well.

One problem that exists, however, is that many people who run campaigns on these crowd funding sites don’t have the marketing savvy to really make them a success.  They may raise a little money based on the people who happen to come across their campaign, but still fall well short of their goal.

Patronomy.com has what they believe to be the solution to this problem. They have launched the first affiliate marketing program that is designed specifically for crowd funding.  This way, inventors and entrepreneurs can focus on their ideas, and let the marketers do the marketing for them.

Affiliate marketers are masters at matching up products with target audiences, so this may just be a match made in heaven.  Nigel Roth, the founder of Patronomy.com, said that Patronomy will provide project owners with full support prior to the launch, as well as during the actual campaigns.  They also hope to build long term relationships with these companies so they can come back again and again when funding is needed.

If this launch is a success, this model may expand to other crowd funding services in the near future.  It does seem like an excellent solution to a common problem many people who are turning to crowd funding are facing.  The big concern will be whether or not those who are looking for funding will want to give up a portion of that to the marketers.
