Best-selling author and TV informercial star, Kevin Trudeau has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after being convicted for making “fraudulent” claims relating to his weight-loss book. The Judge Ronald Guzeman said that Trudueau was a “brazen and habitual fraudster” who even used his mother’s social security number without permission in order to defraud people.
Trudeau, age 50, attempted to try one final pitch at the judge, stating that the four months he already spent in prison had made him a better man. He declared that he had absolutely learned a life-altering lesson from all of the events that had occurred.
The infomercial star who was well known for his trademark dyed jet black hair that had turned somewhat gray as he waited for his sentencing in jail, showed little reaction as the tough sentence was handed down to him.
Nicely enough the book was still for sale on Amazon, for the bargain price of $4.64 with a not unexpected rating of only 2.3 stars, with 354 negative reviews. Strangely enough there were still 140 reviews from people who called him a genius, a brilliant man and more.
