Missy Ward #1 Fundraiser for Avon Walk

If you haven’t noticed, Missy Ward has been pushing hard her own CPA product for the last few years and it has to do with boobies. It’s not porn, but it is a great cause the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. This year in Chicago, she was the #1 Fundraiser, raising $42,601.40 personally, almost double the closest other person. The Affiliate Marketers Give Back team added another $8k to the total of her fundraising efforts.

Her efforts in the last few years have been well documented, and she’s become a spokesperson not only for her own business, but for affiliate markers doing good things for charity. She has done a lot of work outside the walk to raise money, from book signings to charity poker tournaments. In an industry often full of ridiculous drama, it’s wonderful to see everyone get together and make great things happen. Shows that business people, of all walks of life and backgrounds can get together and make a difference in other people’s life.

Missy has obviously made a lot of money in the industry as the Co-Leader of Affiliate Summit and could take that success and ignore others. What does it mean that someone, who has a huge schedule, takes time out to do good on a consistant basis? Perhaps we need to look to her for not only leadership in the Performance Marketing and Affiliate industry, but for leadership on how we need to act and behave.

While you will not be seeing me wearing her outfit anytime soon, expect that I will be in the next walk, right behind her figuratively and literally.

Missy and I will be hosting a Women Executives in Marketing Happy Hour at Affiliate Summit East this year. Look forward to seeing all you ladies there!

  1. Thanks Jennifer. Raising money to fund breast cancer research, treatment and community programs is a cause that is very close to my heart. I’m thankful to all my affiliate marketing team mates who have walked nearly 400 miles with me and have helped me raise a little over $500,000 for various charities over the last 7 years through

I’m also very thankful to all of the folks who have supported our efforts through donations, promotional support, auction items and giving us their time.

I’m blessed to surround myself with amazing people that focus on positive things that can help change the world. I’m totally open to bringing more people over to my side 🙂

While we haven’t announced it yet, we are likely going to b doing the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Santa Barbara next year. When the dates are announced, I’ll post them on the blog.
